Why I found DSI

While 2014 presented challenges and disruptions, it also marked the beginning of Juanita’s journey as an entrepreneur. She embarked on the path of starting her own business driven by Juanita’s passion for change and her unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability led her to make that bold decision. In 2014, motivated by a challenging experience, that she had no choice but to uphold her core values the dad taught her, she stepped down from her position as the Head of IT (IT Divisional Commander) and a member of the Executive Management Team at the Winnipeg Police Service. Despite the difficulty of this decision, she was encouraged by family, friends, and colleagues to leverage her expertise in project and program management, IT delivery, change management, process improvement, and organisational development among others  into her own venture. Her actions and  desire to challenge the status quo, transform organisational culture, maintaining  positive energy /attitude, and  became a change agent dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for all.  This journey led to the birth of Dynamic Solutions International (DSI) in 2014 , a company where “solutions meet expectations, “ based on Juanita’s dynamic, results-oriented approach and commitment to collaboration and excellence. DSI focuses on collaboration, networking, empowerment, and addressing systemic barriers through coaching and mentoring. It embodies values of trust, transparency, and accountability, striving to make a tangible impact in the professional world.

Recognizing the systemic barriers faced by immigrants and women in the Canadian workforce.  Her vision for DSI  extends beyond herself. She believes in collaboration and working with diverse individuals, partners, associates, and organisations to collectively make a difference. Her goal was to create an ecosystem of resources and a platform for immigrant professionals to thrive through collaboration, partnership, and the formation of a supportive community. DSI’s mission is to connect, engage, network, collaborate, empower, influence, educate, grow, inspire, belong, and make an impact while addressing systemic barriers, including coaching and mentoring.

During her six years at the Winnipeg Police Service, Juanita spearheaded and initiated numerous transformational projects that have never been seen in the organisation’s history,  leading to systematic and cultural changes that not only saved resources but also empowered marginalised individuals. Her leadership, determination,  and dedication to creating positive change made a lasting impact, and she firmly believes that no one can match what she achieved during her tenure. Juanita’s diverse expertise and  multifaceted skills make her a valuable asset to any organisation or individual seeking to realise their full potential.

Despite the challenges and setbacks she faced, Juanita’s journey is a testament to her resilience, unwavering determination, and commitment to empowering individuals and organisations to realise their full potential.
