Sylvester Oyamienlen

Sylvester Oyamienlen is a seasoned professional with expertise in Project Management, Banking, Logistics, and Procurement. He holds an MBA with a focus on Management Technology, a Diploma in Project Management, and a BSC in Geography. Sylvester is also certified as both a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP).

Before relocating to Canada in 2016, Sylvester served as the Executive Director at Pakmail Services Limited, a prominent logistics and transportation firm. Prior to that, he dedicated six years of his career as the Branch Manager at United Bank for Africa Plc, one of Africa’s largest banks.

In 2017, Sylvester assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer at Tuff Built Products Inc., where he orchestrated a remarkable transformation for the company. Through his dynamic skills and extensive experience, he propelled the company’s revenue from $3.6 million to $6.0 million by 2021.

Sylvester is not only a professional achiever but also an active community leader. He holds positions on several boards and community groups, including Chairperson of St. Boniface Diocesan High School, membership in St. Emile School, Secretary of the Knight of Columbus, St. Emile Council, and participation in the Association of Black Conservatives (ABC) and the Nigerian Association of Manitoba Inc. (NAMI). Furthermore, he serves as a government appointee on the roster of Public Representatives to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

As a philanthropist deeply committed to humanity, Sylvester dedicates his time as the Executive Director of the SAGA Foundation, Canada, and as a member of the United Nations Global Impact. In these roles, he has played a pivotal role in facilitating the donation of hospital equipment worth $250 million to various locations in Nigeria over the past decade.

Sylvester finds his greatest joy in witnessing the smiles of his fellow humans, particularly in the face of adversity. He goes above and beyond to assist those in need, volunteering at food banks alongside his family, aiding newcomers and their children in gaining admission to schools, and providing furniture and equipment to expedite their settlement. His future endeavors include collaborating with Indigenous communities in Manitoba.
